How to Hard Reset your iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus

Apple recently launched its latest and flagship smartphone known as iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. Hard reset which is also known as master reset is a very important and required operation which should be known to all iPhone users. You may be required to hard reset your iPhone 7 and 7 Plus in many cases which include facing lag on your phone, apps freezing, unable to receive or make calls, crashing of apps and so on. For creating a backup of your iPhone follow the steps given below:

Step 1: First unlock your iPhone 7 or 7 Plus and connect to a Wi-Fi network.

Step 2: Now once you have connected to a Wi-Fi network, open settings.

Step 3: Under setting scroll down and tap on iCloud option.

Step 4: Now under iCloud scroll down the page and tap on Backup, and make sure that iCloud backup is turned on.

Step 5: Now scroll down the same page and tap the option Backup now.

That’s it by doing this all your personal data on your iPhone will be backed up.

Hard Reset iPhone 7 / iPhone 7 Plus without using PC:

Step 1: Unlock your iPhone 7 / 7 Plus and go to settings.

Step 2: Now under settings go to Generals.

Step 3: Under Generals tap on Reset and select ”Erase all contents and settings option”.

Step 4: At last a pop up window will arise on your display saying Erase your iPhone, so you need to tap on it.

That’s it. The process will take some time to complete. This is how you can hard reset your iPhone 7 / 7 Plus without using your PC.

Hard Reset your iPhone 7 / 7 Plus Using PC:

Step 1: Firstly you need to switch off your iPhone 7 / 7 Plus completely.

Step 2: Now you have to create a connection between your PC and your iPhone 7 / 7 Plus with the help of a USB data cable.

Step 3: Once you have been connected, launch iTunes on your PC.

Step 4: Now once your device has been detected, you will be asked ”do you want to restore your iPhone to the factory settings, then you need to select Reset and Update option.

Step 5: Now you will be asked that do you want to restore your iPhone and set up as a new iPhone or do you want to restore all the previous backup data. If you want all your previous personal data to be restored then you can choose the second option and if you want your iPhone to be setup as a new device then you can select the first option.

Step 6: Click continuously and your iPhone will be restored completely. The process will take some time to complete the process successfully, it may take upto 45min – 1hr. No need to worry, it’s quite normal in the process of Hard reset.
